SafeGuard is in the process of working on a comprehensive plan for the purpose of stabilizing communities that have suffered from foreclosures and abandonment. We believe that although the housing market has rebounded in certain pockets across the country, a full recovery cannot be realized without neighborhood stabilization. Through the purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed and abandoned homes and the purchase of non- performing notes, we believe that we can make a tremendous impact on communities and help keep families in their homes.
Our HUD-Approved Housing Counseling department was created to offer you comprehensive housing counseling and education. Our certified housing counselors can:
- Help you understand the home-buying process and help you decide on a mortgage amount that is affordable for you, without sacrificing your lifestyle.
- Help you if you are having difficulty and have fallen behind on your mortgage. We can help you work with your lender to save your home from foreclosure and understand your options.
As a HUD-Approved agency we need your authorization and permission to counsel you and help you find solutions for your current housing situation. Please click on the link below, “Get Started with Housing Counseling”, and fill in all the required applicant information to get the process started! If you have a co-applicant on your mortgage please make sure you enter their information as well.
You will receive a Login ID and Password, please save this information in case you need to login again in the future to complete a form. Once you have completed all the required information and have submitted your application you will be contacted by one of our certified housing counselors. Do not skip any questions as it will only delay the process. If we receive an incomplete package it slows down the process as we will still need to obtain the information from you to continue.
If you have any questions please call our housing department directly by dialing 800-673-6993 and selecting option 5 from the main menu.
